Ciao Gil Azzurri?

Former Wales captain Sam has backed Georgia to get their chance in the Six Nations after another underwhelming performance from the Italians.

Has the time finally come for the Six Nations to introduce a promotion and relegation system for the tournament? Former Wales Captain Sam Warburton certainly thinks so.

Italy’s Six Nations struggles continued yesterday, as they were handed a heavy defeat by France – confirming their place as the most unsuccessful team in Six Nations history…

Italy have been part of the tournament since 2000 and their overall record is currently – played 106 won 12, drawn 1, lost 93 – that is a win percentage of just over 11% – pretty pitiful by any standard and surely worth giving the current champions of The Rugby Europe International Championships- Georgia a chance to be promoted from Tier 2…

The Georgians record in the REIC is very impressive… played 100, won 83, drawn 4 and lost 13 – a win percentage of 83%!

So, is it time that promotion and relegation was seriously considered for the championship?
