Six Nations 2021 predictions…

Everyone seems to be writing Wales off…

With the Six Nations due to start today, there seems to be a lot of predictions going around on how the final table will look come the end of March.

Sir Ian McGeechan has dropped a damning prediction for Wales ? such has the Red Dragon fallen over the past 12 months.

It all starts in Rome on Saturday with Italy hosting France, before attention switches to Twickenham where England face Scotland for the Calcutta Cup. Then on Sunday it’s Wayne Pivac’s Wales up against Andy Farrell’s Ireland in Cardiff

Sir Ian predicts…

6th – Italy

5th – Wales

4th – Ireland

3rd – Scotland

McGeechan said: “I’ve gone with Scotland in third place on the basis they also have three home games, including both Ireland and Wales.”

2nd – France

1st – England

McGeechan said: “The 3:2 home:away ratio is arguably less critical this year than it usually is. But home advantage should still make a difference. England have three home games, including France, which is the key one.”

How close is he do you think? Personally we are hoping for a Wales Grandslam but just can’t see it happening for us this year.
